JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting the Manager and Director of the department in all areas of marketing communications with major focus related on F&B and catering initiatives.
Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Recognize opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements to create a better Marriott experience or event. Encourage guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales/tours. Explain details and requirements related to attending a sales presentation to potential owners. Verify that individuals meet eligibility requirements for preview package sales/tours prior to scheduling a tour for a Marriott vacation club property. Determine and give complementary to guests as gifts for their patronage (e.g., rewards points, show tickets). Answer guest questions about property facilities/services. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.

Assist with the hotel public relations plan as part of the overall communications program, which maintains and enhances the stature of the hotel, its personnel and services.
Assist with the marketing communications plan including local advertising, printing, radio and direct marketing.
Major focus on F&B PR and Marketing for individual property support.
Public Relations Focus (in detail):
Together with the team maintain a steady flow of information which favorably presents the hotel’s dining promotions and outlets.
Create ideas and feature stories with particular reference to F&B offerings for articles that local media can use.
Distribute appropriate information and photographs to selected media and ensure follow up to achieve media coverage.
Assists in PR events, co-ordinates VIP arrivals and press trips.
Keeps media updated on local F&B listings and promotions and ensure up to date and correct information.
Is accountable for maintaining, enhancing and updating the hotel photographic library and press kits.
Screen and maintain clippings of articles featuring the hotel/s
Marketing Communications Focus (in detail):
Responsible for coordinating the F&B communications and in-house channels including updating the F&B module, maintaining the HTML schedule, in room TV channels, flyers and posters under the direction of the PR Manager.
Gather and co-ordinates information to facilitate the creation of bimonthly newsletters, promotions and press releases.
Maintain the departments filing system offline and online.
Collates and analyses competitor activities for F&B, rooms, catering and events for department review.
Ensure the correct corporate policy and standards are followed for all printed and display materials.
Assist in the creation and direction of promotional programs for food and beverage promotions and initiatives.
Together with the team maintain effective relationships with media, trade, advertising and printing industries.
All statutory Marriott training schemes.
