Job description

The receptionist is the first contact person that the client encounters within the hotel. He is mainly in charge of greeting and welcoming the client when the latter arrives, which corresponds to the first step of the guest's experience. This function is very important, as the receptionist represents a real point of reference for the client and an answer to all his questions or requests. The receptionist assists the client in case there is a problem throughout the stay. The receptionist follows the client at each step of his stay, day and night, from his arrival to his departure.

Duties & Responsibilities
-Do the check-in and check-out, give the magnetic cards to the clients
-Assist the clients for their departure
-Prepare invoices and make the payments
-Record arrivals and departures
-Manage the reservations planning
-Answer the phone, receive calls and transfer them to the appropriate staff within the hotel
-Answer e-mails or transfer them to the appropriate staff within the hotel
-Ensure that the clients' needs are satisfied throughout their stay
-Answer all questions from the guests
-Satisfy all requests from the guests
-Give advice to the clients concerning the interesting places, bars, restaurants, museums and others
-Stock items of value from the clients, their luggage, jackets and others
-Arrange wake-up calls if needed
-Organize guests' transport for visits outside of the hotel
-Call a taxi if necessary
