Job description

It is Guest Relations Officer’s responsibility to ensure all the guests are given a warm, friendly, courteous, informative and efficient service as well as to ensure the standards are maintained and maximum guest satisfaction is achieved, the main duties for the position will include but not be limited to the following:

• Be responsible for the Guest Relations Desk in the Lobby.
• Keep up to date on all resort products and services.
• Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
• Liaise with transport/ launch section for the arrival and departure boat.
• Receiving and welcoming all the arrival guests on the seaplane platform.
• Provide necessary safety information onboard for all the arrivals and departures.
• Escort arrival guest to the villa and explain the villa amenities and facilities.
• Conduct welcome information.
• To recognize the main point contact for VIP guests and ensure resort departments are fully briefed on their requirements.
• Prepare welcome flyers, welcome letters and departure letters, and ensure all the letters are delivered to the guest villa on time.
• Promote and sell resort chargeable excursions and arrange the necessary flyers to inform the guest about environment.
• Arrange private dinners and any other special request from guests, and inform concern department by confirmation.
• Send the entire necessary document for excursions, private dinner and other request to the concerned departments.
• Keeps his/herself informed of product and service knowledge as well as the resort daily meetings and activities.
• To assist guests with all different queries.
• To act according to the complaint handling standard & procedures.
• To carry out any reasonable duties as may be requested by department Head or any other management.
• To create predictably positive experience that meets and/ or exceeds guest expectations.
• To handle promptly and courteously all guest comments, complaints or inquiries.
• To report for duty as per the roster, clean and tidy, as per grooming standard set by company.
• To assist all departments when required.
• To attend departmental communication meetings & training sessions.
• To be responsible for a clean and tidy working area.
• To be aware of any activities/events operating within the resort in order to promote and maximize the sales.
• To operate all equipment as per the operating guidelines.
• To have full knowledge of the resort safety and emergency procedures.
• To adhere to the Resort rules at any time.
• To be support to the resort’s environmental projects.
• Understand and implement all standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and procedures (P&P) of the hotel
• To perform all assigned duties with reference to approved checklists
• To have comprehensive, accurate and relevant product knowledge on the resort and its services
• Aware that his/her superiors will closely monitor his performance for future assignments, appraisals, reports or transfers.
• Attending and actively participating in all sectional / departmental meetings
• Attend employee meetings
• Attend and fully participate in all training programs for which you have been scheduled. Training is compulsory.
• Respect and comply with Energy Saving Plan in place at the hotel

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar position
• Strong personality who fosters good team working relations
• Positive with a ‘can do ‘attitude
• Experience working in a multicultural team
• Flexible working hours, hands on, patient, people’s person and very service oriented
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
