The Merchandizing team is an integral part of the Commercial Excellence Team, charged with transforming the Moët Hennessy Commercial Teams to achieve business efficiency, enabling them to focus on improved time with their accounts to drive better commercial outcomes.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Merchandize Manager is responsible for driving consumer satisfaction at the point of sales and in turn drive category growth. As a market leader in its key categories, efforts to grow the category will result in sustainable growth of our portfolio’s sales and profit in the short term and of brand desirability in the long term.

The role of Merchandize Manager, embedded within the Commercial Excellence team and part of the global Distribution team is set to play a pivotal role between the Maisons and the Markets. He or she will need to successfully liaise with multiple teams across Maisons and Markets to influence their decision making in the pursuit of Merchandizing excellence.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Consumer Insights and Market Analysis

  • Analyses market and consumer data to identify the right growth spaces to invest - in collaboration with the Consumer Insights
  • Contributes to the development of growth strategies for each of the product category according to the growth spaces identified and in line with MH, brand and market priorities


Product, Assortment & Pricing

  • Researches new product development options as well as studies performance of existing portfolio for the purpose of assortment optimization;
  • Formulates recommendations to Maison and Market on product assortment
  • In collaboration with the RGM function, helps to advise Maison and Market on the optimal pricing for each of the product categories


Go to Market

  • Assists the Markets in developing a category management practice that helps to translates category strategies onto the shelf such assortment planning and planograming
  • Based on insights and market feedback, makes recommendations on impactful point of sales material and visual merchandizing solutions that support the category approach
  • Researches and evaluates business tools that support the development of the Merchandizing practice, enhances automation and data collection and supports Markets in local execution


Merchandizing Community & Practice

  • In collaboration with the Future Commerce and MH Academy team, helps to ensure that insights, learnings, strategies and tools are being adopted and utilized by the markets, including tools, processes and learning & training
  • Regularly builds and presents plans and projects ideas to leadership on how to continue to build and enhance our merchandizing capabilities
  • Develops and animates the MH merchandizing community by engaging with stakeholders, collect feedback from markets and continue to enhance the processes and communication


Profil

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Education & experience:

  • 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in retail, merchandizing or category management
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence tools


Languages:

  • English (essential)
  • French (preferred)
  • One other language (preferred)
