Claire Nash founded Nash19 Restaurant in 1992. She has since evolved and grown the restaurant into a food shop, Gallery and currently the addition of an outdoor heated street space i.e Eat on the Street, Princes Street Cork City. We employ up to 22 people at peak times and support many food producers and artisans in our region.

We are in 2021 planning a extended service into evening incorporating a wine and small plate menu which will develop our outdoor street space.

We are looking for a Chef de Partie / Sous Chef with the following responsibilities:

• Further development of the Restaurant and Street Café menu.
• Working with Artisan producers & Suppliers.
• Developing shop production & Food to go.
• Maintaining Food cost, Stock Levels & Quality.
• Management of Kitchen Staff

About you

Must Haves:

• 3 Years’ experience
• Professional Culinary Training
• HACCP Training to Level 3 or more.
• Fluent English.

Desirable attributes:

• Ability to lead a team through demands of high service
• Desire to develop Menus and Plates with consideration of ever changing Food Trends and Authentic health changes.
  • Language required: English.

Our kitchens cook and prepare everything for the shop and restaurant on site. Claire cooks and is involved daily with menu's and seasonal changes.
The Restaurant is situated 100 yards from the English Market in the bustling city centre adjacent to the South Mall, Cork's Banking Business Hub.
In 2014, we established Sternview Gallery, which is part of our seating area and a curated space showcasing local artists contributing to the vibrant arts and tourism nature of our industry.
We are in 2021 planning a extended service into evening incorporating a wine and small plate menu which will develop our outdoor street space.
We seat 105 indoors, reduced to 60 during Covid restrictions and up to 32 outside.
We open 9;15am until early evening.Closed Sundays & Monday's.
