About the Job:

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join Front Office department in Dar Al Masyaf. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to the butlers in areas of training, quality and development
  • Evaluate operations in order to identify training needs
  • Liaise closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Finance, Concierge, Spa and  F& B Departments, including Private Dinning and Stewarding
  • Ensure the professional and timely communication of training information to relevant colleagues
  • Update and maintain guest history files of guests, based on preference observation and service feedback
  • Ensure a complete shift hand over to other team leaders and coordinate all operations in the villas, to exceed guest expectations
  • Maintain privacy and security of in-house guests and ensure smooth operations in the assigned villa cluster
  • Take full responsibility for operating equipment
  • Actively present new ideas and concepts to senior management for possible inclusion and adoption in future training
  • Has a comprehensive knowledge of the Hotel, including all departments, services and outlets
  • Ensure that the butler pantries are maintained and stocked at all times
  • Is proactive within all areas of operation
  • Coordinate with all the butlers, delegating responsibilities and ensuring continual communication and feedback.
  • Communicate with the division leaders at all times
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide support and assistance to all Front Office operations  
  • Is knowledgeable of all in-room services, amenities and functions and conduct daily standard quality checks
  • Is proficient and knowledgeable in Opera, Hotsos and Micros
  • Immediately action all special guest requirements and requests
  • Build a rapport with guests, facilitating guest recognition, preference feedback and handle guest feedback efficiently
  • Must be aware of Customer satisfaction index scores thru JD power and actively participate to improve the scores by adhering to the Step by step’s of check in and check out.
  • Must be aware of Tripadvisor rating, potential competitors and actively encourage all the guest to post a review in order to improve and maintain ranking.   

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

 
  • You must have minimum two years experience as Team Leader or a similar role in a 5 star hotel, managing a team (10 or more colleagues) in a multicultural environment.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
  • Additional language is an added value
  • Outgoing personality with ability to communicate fluently with guests and colleagues.
  • Passion and ability to stimulate ideas and implement them.
  • Must be full of enthusiasm and ability to energize the team.
  • Ability to work on weekends and night shift.
  • You must also have experience in using Opera PMS, Front Office System
