We are looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team. In this role you will support our Purchasing management team to oversee a specialist team that provide dedicated procurement services for the hotel, residences and our food & beverage outlets. 

As Purchasing Supervisor you will work closely with our Goods Receiving & Back of House teams and wider operational departments. You will be responsible for coordinating orders on behalf of our departmental teams to ensure that par stock levels are maintained across the business. Part of your role is to ensure that all orders are within operating budgets and that suppliers’ offer the best negotiated prices for all products. You will set an example for your team and ensure they provide a flexible and hands-on approach across the business. This will be a high volume, high energy environment that requires excellent communication and relationship management skills both with internal colleagues and external stakeholders and suppliers. 

A proven track record in a Purchasing or Procurement role with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team is desirable. You will have excellent organisation and negotiation skills and be known for your attention to detail. A passion for purchasing and exceptional knowledge of food & drink products is desirable. You will be a self starter, motivated and pro-active in everything you do.
