Our Hotel

This position is located at Mandarin Oriental Boston. Holding both the AAA Five Diamond and the Forbes Five-Star awards, Mandarin Oriental, Boston enjoys a coveted location in beautiful Back Bay. With a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, the hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and style.

Overview:

The Banquet House Person is responsible set up designated function rooms to group's requirements in accordance with Hotel standards.  Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest and service areas.

The Banquet House Person reports directly to the Banquet Manager.

Knowledge and Skills :

Prior labor intensive work experience preferred.

Ability to lift/push/carry 20-50 lbs.

Flexible; Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.

Physical Job Requirements                                                      

Lifting 20-40 lbs (tables, trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. Pushing 50-100 lbs (tables, carts, queen marys, hot box, portable bar) Carry 20-40 lbs (trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc)

Ability to bend to lower level cabinets and banquet storage room.  Bend to lift trays.

Maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests.

Standing required 90-100% of time scheduled.
