Main Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational and administrative aspects and be able to prioritise the required level of engagement and take charge of the outlet and the department
  • Supervise the side duty schedules for all positions and ensure compliance and follow through
  • Oversee the daily operation of the outlet and manage shifts effectively to assure a smooth and effective overall operation
  • Have good planning skills, recruitment and interviewing skills for new colleagues
  • Be responsible for the training and development of colleagues
  • Cunduct monthly departmental meeting
  • Ensure that reservations are managed well within the outlet and seating capacities are effectively maximised
  • Follow all procedures, policies and practices with regard to the Jardine accounting related requirements for F&B outlets
  • Observe the competition, current market and international trends, prices with the market and other new ideas and forward them to the Outlet Manager
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to all outlet colleagues at any time, particularly during the operation hours
  • Supervise daily service operations to ensure standards and policies are followed
  • Check daily maintenance, cleanliness of the areas and grooming of staff
  • Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
  • Assist Guest courteously and efficiently
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and up sell the product
  • Handle complaints and take immediate action for rectification


Requirements

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred
  • Experience as Assistant Manager in a high volume outlet with highest levels of service is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment, including 1 year in Food and Beverage
  • International work experience
  • Excellent knowledge of fine food and wine
  • Fluent in Italian & English
  • Computer literate a plus
  • Skilled at handling complaints and comments tactfully
  • Must be professional and possess excellent communication and organization skills
