The Director of Human Resources is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall human resources, colleagues and functions, including the day-to-day operations of the hiring, staffing, coordination of health, benefits and welfare related issues, colleague relations, learning & development and financial HR budget.

Must deliver quality products and services in line with Legendary Quality Experiences to meet business requirements and to satisfy colleagues and guests expectations.

  • Works together with the General Manager and Executive Committee members to continually improve organizational structure, programs and activities that supports and ensures the integrity of the organization
  • Orientates and trains new colleagues in a way that teaches and embodies the group and the hotel’s Vision and Mission, to ensure that the hotel completely delights and satisfies the guest
  • To provide an infrastructure of planned training and development activity for all hotel level colleagues that meets the hotel, company and the individual needs
  • Responsible for the Labour Relations in accordance with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and local standards.
  • Implement recruitment and selection programs that attract quality, enthusiastic, and well-qualified colleagues who will provide exceptional guest/colleague service
  • Together with the Hotel Management team to maintain and develop the Company Brand & Company Culture
  • To prepare salary forecasts and HR budgets together with Director of Finance and Head of Departments
  • To operate an efficient and accurate HR administration system in order to meet statutory, legal and internal company payroll audits requirements.
  • To personally monitor salary and benefits within the region in order to stay in line within the competitive market level
  • To provide a counselling and advisory service to all employees and to manage all grievance and disciplinary proceedings, adhering to company, hotel and legal requirements.
  • To engage in an active manner and to participate in effective communications within the hotel, company and relevant organizations.
  • To provide caring and consistent welfare services to all colleagues.
  • To encourage in an active manner and to develop the skills of individual members of the Human Resources team.

 YOUR PROFILE:

  • Previous experience in Taiwan as Director of Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan Labour legislation and related policies
  • Requires high level of engagement with all members of the staff
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop teams and colleagues of the hotel
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (Taiwanese a plus)
