It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will fulfill the goals established by the Director of Revenue Management to maximize revenue with in the standards of the brand and expectation of the budget.
The Reservations Manager will provide supervision, direction and leadership in the Reservations Department in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards supportive of the brand. The Reservations Manager will provide full support for Sales and Marketing projects relating to reservations.
We are looking for a Reservations Manager with a minimum 2 years Front Office experience or hotel reservations management experience, in a luxury hotel required. Incumbent must be a self-starter and have effective decision making skills. Responsibilities include controlling rates, room availability and room types; managing the reservations department; training of reservations agents according to MO and Forbes standards; scheduling and payroll; quality assurance; and distributing system maintenance and operational forecast systems. Incumbent must liaise with the Director of Revenue and operational departments to ensure the smooth operation of reservations and programs. Candidate should be very detail oriented and able to maximize room revenue. Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette is necessary. Sharp analytical and mathematical skills required, as well as strong computer skills, including MS Office products and preferably SMS. A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred. A flexible schedule is required, with weekends as needed. This is a full-time management position only.
The Reservations Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Rooms and supervises the Reservations Consultants.
