Some of the responsibilities include: 

  • To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and are of high quality
  • To organize and set up their assigned section of the kitchen effectively 
  • To assist the Executive Chef in ensuring culinary standards comply with the hotel's policies, procedures and standards
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept hygienically clean and follow necessary food safety practices
  • To assist management with the training of new associates when needed
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.


About you:  

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel
  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher 
  • A good understanding of food safety practices and hygiene practices
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the kitchen and work in both the restaurant and events
  • Good communication skills, attitude and be a team player
