Job description

• Target proactively wedding sales by getting in touch with all local, regional, and international wedding organizers.
• Conduct familiarization visits to all wedding related clients.
• Be the main point of contact for wedding guests visiting the hotel.
• Attend local, regional, and international Weddings Fairs and Shows.
• In charge of designing and production of all needed Wedding collateral for the hotel.
• In charge of wedding bloggers entertainment to drive exposure of the hotel within the wedding market.´
• In charge of the wedding social media for the hotel.
• In charge of following up on all existing wedding leads to ensure conversion.
• Produce wedding proposals and contracts.
• Communicate effectively with other departments in the hotel with regards to all wedding requirements.
• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers to gain the best service and price for both the hotel and clients.
• Works with and manages the event space booking systems to ensure no overlap or conflict of dates and timings are experienced.
• Maintain the online wedding tool updated and fresh.
• Maintain the wedding photo album and keep it updated.
• Build the event in the system and open its file.
• Turn blocks into definite once confirmed and hand over the files to Event Management.
• Conduct BEO meetings with the operational team to ensure proper communication of the events among the whole team.
• Supervisor and monitor all aspects of the event to ensure it is done to Clients expectation and the standards of Melia Desert Palm Dubai.
• Give clear and concise delegations to team members to ensure requirements are delivered on time and to the correct standards.
• Acts as the first line of communication with the Client and be there to ease the process.
• Shows and demonstrates good working knowledge of the events spaces areas and the team’s capabilities.
• Shows and demonstrates good working knowledge of all aspects of the hotel in order to serve the client’s needs effectively.
• Look at, work with and develop procedures to increase efficiency and productivity of yours and the team’s processes.
• Attends weekly BEO meetings with department heads to discuss upcoming business and potential leads.
• Demonstrates an organized manner through planning, organization and delivery of execution.
• Provide in depth timelines, floor plans, and responsibility charts for each event to ensure thorough communication.
• Actively seeks to improve own knowledge of the Wedding Sector.
• Attends training sessions to improve knowledge when required.
• Conducts team briefings for events and build ups to ensure effective communication.
• Assists the Catering team in any aspects of events to ensure a successful execution.
• Work closely with the Kitchen Team to obtain menus and costings.
• Conduct business relations, show around and client interactions in line with Sales and Marketing SOPs.
• Produce quotations in line with the Food & Beverage department’s revenue and profitability targets and guidelines.
• Seeks ways to create, source and produce additional Wedding business for Melia Desert Palm Dubai.
• Attend wedding fairs and shows on behalf of Melia Desert Palm to find new sources of business.
• Provide Feedback and market trends to the DOSM and F&B Manager.


3-4 years extensive experience in wedding and events sales and marketing
Ability to develop new business opportunities and partnerships at bridal shows, networking and trade events.
Proficient use of MS Office.
UAE driving license.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
