We require a Junior IT Local Support Analyst on a fixed term basis to join the IT team based at our THORPE PARK attraction in Chertsey, Surrey.


This is a brilliant opportunity to begin your career in IT, joining us in an IT service support role, with full training given. This is an hourly paid role and a car is required.


Representing Merlin IT within the THORPE PARK Resort, you will be delivering first class IT services (level 1-3) to all staff based within the site, delivering positive and proactive customer service and ensuring appropriate service level agreements are met.


You will be supporting MS Windows 7, Office 2010, ePOS and all bespoke applications used onsite.


As part of the team of 4, you will be responsible for the effective provision of systems and services to customers, IT stock and IT estate management as well as managing major events and / or priority 1 issues on site - with the assistance of off-site Merlin IT teams where necessary.


This role is an hourly paid position, offered on a fixed term contract until 31st December 2018. You will be required to work shifts on a rotational basis between 08.00 and 22.00, including weekends and bank holidays - depending on the park opening times. 


We are looking for the following skills and experience\:


This is an entry level IT support role and so we are looking for candidates who are keen to begin their career in IT and who want to develop their skills and experience working for an exciting and fun-loving brand. 


Outstanding customer service and strong communication skills are essential.  As such, you should have experience in a customer service role, ideally using a POS (Point of Sale) system i.e. a computerised till. 


You must be computer literate and have a strong interest in IT across the board, with the ability to think on your feet, solving problems and working as part of a team.


To be considered for the role it is also essential that you can drive and have a car.
