We are LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and we are part of the magical Merlin Entertainments!
We have an exciting opportunity to join our LEGOLAND Hotel Bar & Restaurants team to undertake a Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship.
We have 4 varied restaurant offerings across our 2 hotels, catering for up to 800 covers in unique environments. Although we’re in the business of fun, we are serious about delivering quality food & beverage experiences to our guests. We use fresh ingredients to deliver our own menus across our restaurants whilst having a big focus on customer service to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. You'll also work behind the bar so you do need to be over 18 to apply for this position.
We have a great culture of Learning Development and progressing our own - last year our internal promotion rate was 61%. As part of our training offering, once you've settled into your role you have access to our Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship which we'll fund and fully support you through so you can learn whilst you earn! The minimum duration for the apprenticeship is 12 months, and whilst there'll be a large element of on the job experiential training, you'll need to be passionate about owning your own development and put in a few hours outside of work too.
About the Apprenticeship\:
We partner with a specialist training provider who has tailored their offering to suit the way our business works, meaning you can get as much as possible out of the course. There are a wide range of establishments in which a hospitality team member qualification is relevant including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers.
The role is very varied and, although hospitality team members tend to specialise in an area, they have to be adaptable and ready to support colleagues across the business, for example during busy periods. You may find yourself in our buffet restaurant one day and behind the bar on another!
Specialist areas in hospitality include food and beverage service, serving alcoholic beverages, barista, food preparation, housekeeping, concierge and guest services, reception, reservations and conference and banqueting. The most important part of the role is developing fantastic ‘hospitality’ skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business and working as part of a team to ensure that every customer, whether they are eating in a restaurant, drinking cocktails in a bar, ordering room service in a hotel or attending a business conference, feels welcomed and looked after.
We need you to\:
- Be passionate about driving your career and development
- Maintain the highest Food Safety & Health & Safety standards
- Deliver exceptional service standards and always looking for opportunity to innovate and evolve
- Work enthusiastically as part of a wider team to create memorable experiences for our guests
So if you enjoy working in a fun-filled, fast-paced environment and want to build a career in the hospitality industry, then this role is perfect for you!
This role is Full Time, Permanent, averaging 37.5 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required. You'll be eligible for the Apprenticeship once you've passed your probation period with us, but from day one you'll have access to other training and development with us here in house. And when you've completed your apprenticeship - the possibilities are endless!
Please ensure you attach a CV with your application.
Alongside a competitive annual salary and 28 days holiday you can look forward to enjoying a great benefits package including a Group Personal Pension Plan, Merlin Magic pass, Employee Assistance Programme, Childcare Vouchers, Life Assurance, 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants, 40% discount online off of LEGO, and much more!
