Regional Trade Sales Director - North America

Field Based (Orlando or New York based)

Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a REGIONAL TRADE SALES DIRECTOR - NORTH AMERICA to join our Trade Sales and Marketing team.  This role will be field based, ideally (but not exclusively) located in the State of Florida or the State of New York.

 Reporting into the GLOBAL TRADE STRATEGY DIRECTOR, the Regional Trade Sales Director is primarily responsible for delivering sales revenue for all of our North American attractions though B2B partnership accounts.  This role will have a pivotal function of driving recovery through International markets as they open up post Covid-19.  With a total team of 12 people including 3 directs reports, this role manages remotely and within a matrix structure and is collaborative with 5 key stakeholders across the North American region.

We are looking for an individual with evidential experience of delivering sales growth to a multi $m budget target.  Someone with sales and marketing expertise honed over at least 5 years, ideally within the tourism or hospitality sector.  An in-depth understanding of USA travel trade distribution channels and networks is essential as is International market development knowledge. A clear ability to communicate concisely and with authority across a stakeholder structure using a variety of medium include Microsoft Teams, is a requirement of the successful candidate, alongside evidential budget management and commercial acumen.
