Scope of Job:

In this role, you are in charge of overseeing the ongoing management and development of Sales for allocated local and international market segments across LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Hong Kong. You will be also become part of the Merlin Hong Kong cluster Sales team, contributing as a member of this team, as shared resource for both LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. We are seeking a qualified Sales Manager to help keep our revenue engine running through their own skill. You will develop and execute trade & group sales and business development to ensure that they are delivered in line with the sales & marketing plan. You will undertake planning and implementation of sales strategy from identified market sectors and deliver agreed volume and revenue targets in conjunction with the company strategy.  As a main point of contact for the key trade and business partner relationships, you will implement strong Travel Trade, Schools, Local Communities, Corporates and Group Strategies, delivering budgeted visitor numbers, revenue as well as creating strong network relationships and partnerships for the attraction. 

This is a fast paced and hands on role within a people focused culture.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering visitor volume, revenue and be accountable to yield targets to achieve sales performance for LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Hong Kong.
• Research, plan and implement sales strategies targeting travel trade and industry partners, schools, parents’ groups, local communities and corporates, foster strong relationships and drive sales through these and other relevant platforms.
• Prepare sales reports and develop market insights to understand target customer profiles and increase the market share of visitation.
• Analyse performances and identify new sales promotions initiatives.
• Manage sales administrative works, such as implement and enhance processes related to sales, ticketing and operations.
• Collaborate with the IT team in case of sales system integrations and online promotions – ensuring set up and monitor promotion results.
• Partner with finance team to establish on a payment model for various business partners. Support account receivables when necessary.

The role is strategic and tactical in driving sales for a variety of channels that are the core of the business of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in attraction/ leisure/ entertainment/ edutainment business. You will be highly self-motivated and driven to achieve targets. You are a strong communicator and are able to build rapport across the business. Your ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired. You will also have:

• A proven track record of working to, and achieving sales targets.
• Data-driven. Sensitive to numbers.
• Expertise in account management within both local and international markets. OTA background is highly preferred.
• Familiar to eCommerce and online sales.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
• A self-starter character who is highly organized and flexible - able to roll with changing priorities.
• The responsibility to act as key point of contact and deliver a high level of customer service to clients.
• A positive attitude and a love for FUN!
