An exciting position as Senior/Head Chef has become available for a young and dynamic Sous Chef/ Senior Chef de Partie who is wishing to take the next step in their career. The successful applicant will be ambitious, have an exceptional passion for using local and fresh produce, as well as have the ability and temperament to lead and develop a young team.

Requirements

The following requirements would be beneficial, however, our client is also willing to support the successful candidate with future training, and administrative support and training.

HACCP level 2 and an up-to-date certificate;
Cost control and staff hours management;
3-5 years of recent experience in a similar role in a busy but organised kitchen;
Knowledge of trends in the catering sector;
Previous experience in a pub is an added bonus
Excellent leadership, organisational, communication & motivational skills.

Extensive training in all aspects of the role including a high level of cooking methods, product knowledge and service training.

Welcome to Neville’s Bar and Kitchen based in Fethard on Sea on the Hook Peninsula, County Wexford in the heart of Ireland’s ancient east.

Neville’s Bar and Kitchen is a Failte Ireland family friendly award winning Gastro Pub and recipient of the Failte Ireland Pubs of distinction award. Neville’s offers more than your typical bar, it offers imaginative, high quality food and drink at reasonable prices in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

Neville’s is ideally located to explore the ring of Hook and visit major local attractions like the Hook Lighthouse, Loftus Hall , Duncannon Fort, Tintern Abbey and the Colclough Walled Garden.

Excellent food is served daily from 12.30pm in a family friendly environment, eat inside or al fresco. We are committed to using local ingredients and suppliers wherever possible.We have a private room available for functions and we now offer our bar menu for takeaway. Wi-Fi and baby changing facilities available.

You can visit the original Neville’s Pub which is adjacent, a traditional hostelry established in 1761.
