Sous Chef position at this beautiful Californian Hotel! Rotate through supervisor position, Operations and Management as a Sous Chef!

Advance your management career at this California hotel that provides luxury accommodations in the heart of downtown San Francisco – the jewel of California. This beautiful downtown hotel is located right on the cable car line and is only a short walk to Union Square, the San Francisco neighborhood that has become a mecca for high-end shopping and art galleries. You will be responsible for ensuring outstanding guest service for the restaurant and bar patrons including greeting guests, assisting servers/bussers when necessary, maintaining an active presence, plus fulfilling any other items deemed necessary in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Benefits: Your rate of pay will be $22.43 first 90 days then it will increase to $29.91 per hour up to 40. You will be eligible for overtime pay over 40 hours. At the hotel there is 1 Executive Chef, 1 Exec Sous Chef, and 2 Sous Chef. This position is an hourly position as a Sous Chef in Training. Thus this position is also a Union position. The union dues for the Sous Chef position are $67.20 per month and the one-time initiation fee is $130.00, paid within 30 days of hire. Union dues are subject to change.

The associate will also qualify for union medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage a few months after starting. Union associates don’t qualify for any paid time off until their 1st anniversary. Unfortunately, because the visa is only 12 months the trainee won’t be able to take the paid time off. You would qualify for holidays and will be either paid double time on holidays or have the holiday off with pay. There are 6 holidays in the year. Please bring your own knives and non-slip black shoes. A meal and uniform will be provided. Hotel will provide up to two weeks of housing if available, arrivals must be coordinated in advance.

+4 years of culinary exp. At least 1 year of CDP exp or management exp like Jr Sous exp
