About the job

To develop and implement the marketing plan and public relations activities for the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs. Managing the SEO of the hotel website while optimizing the revenue opportunities to the hotel.

• To ensure that PR & Online Media Unit is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Paramount Standards of Performance.
• To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
• To assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing Multi Tasking principle and to check their performance periodically.
• To plan and execute the content creation as well as the briefing to creative agencies (including copy writing, photo/video shootings) ensuring delivery in adherence with brand guidelines and hotel positioning. 

• Drive Loyalty Marketing.
• Support sales team with the creation of marketing collateral and tactical promotions associates with key market segments. 

• Ensure full compliance with all Brand Marketing standards and programs of Paramount Hotels and Resorts. 

• Champion and Manage the Social Media strategy in line with the brand positioning and hotel stories together with the Coordinator PR and Online Media
• Specific focus on online reputation management and guest engagement.
• Responsible for the local public relations and promotional activities that support the needs of the hotel and the F&B venue and Spa & Wellbeing center. This includes collaborating with regional PR Team and local PR agency on messaging/positioning of the hotel and venues, on going pro-active/ re-active media relations, maximizing hotel events by inviting local/national media, press events, photo/TV shoots of the property, celebrity interviews and other specific events that require personal attention. 

• Forge local collaborations and review opportunities for local level promotions and sponsorships to gain recognition and beneficial status within the community.
• To create a public relations plan which promotes and maintains good public relations in order to create the desired image for the Hotel.
• To supervise all PR activities together with collaborating PR agencies.
• Create a full electronic library of the hotel photos and events
• To maintain all press contacts and make sure database is up to date.
• To create a press kit and keep the press kit up to date.
• To prepare Press Releases
• To promote and support brand activities and programs; such as the On Location Services program, Meeting Initiatives and the Paramount Hotels and Resorts newsletter
• To monitor media complaints, requests, and inquiries and oversee handling with units concerned.
• To ensure media lists and invitations for VIP receptions, luncheons, dinners are according to hotel standards.
• To oversee clipping files pertaining to the hotel based on daily perusal of the media.
• To monitor awareness of competitor activities and use information when developing strategies.
• To coordinate sponsorship and corporate social responsibility activities
• To support internal units on external communication.
• To work closely with the Producer Marketing & Communications to communicate hotel packages, special offers and activities.
• To oversee together with the Producer Marketing & Communications the Social Online Media Plan and ensures that all online channels are managed and where relevant are responded to such as Trip Advisor, Twitter, Facebook.
• To assure PR plans are in alignment with Brand initiatives and corporate office strategy.
• To track and reports results on e-commerce activities and conversion rates and making improvement to the hotel website where necessary.
• To develop and manage PR campaigns.
• To be responsible for planning and budgetary control of all PR activities
• To evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
• To ensure that standards of data-capture are maintained throughout the Hotel to support future PR drives.
• To be hands on Manager and be present at all times in the area of responsibility of PR Unit, especially during busy periods.
• To implement a flexible scheduling based on business patterns.
• To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all PR related service and products.
• To be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards.
• To ensure that the work place is kept clean and organized.

About you

• At least 3-5 years in related PR, marketing, social media and lifestyle industry
• Has genuine interest in social media, life-style and hospitality
• Strong network of connections is an asset, including media, bloggers, social influencers and industry partners
• Self-motivated, creative flair, eye for detail, up to date in life-style trends, active on social media
• Computer proficiency, skilled in digital marketing and social media software tools
• Youthful and extroverted, fun
• Encouraged to establish relationships with our guests
• Sense of humor
• Communication Skills
• Strategic Thinking
  • Language required: English. Arabic is a plus
