About the job
Description of the Host Property:
Poised in the storied 1914 property on Baltimore’s historic Recreation Pier – “Rec Pier” as it’s known to locals – Sagamore Pendry Baltimore embodies the city’s rich history, vibrant personality and idyllic harbor setting with character, inspiration and style. Rooted in tradition but reimagined, the pier’s extensive renovation has honored the historic essence of the property and restored it to its former glory, reflecting a bygone era, impeccable service, unparalleled quality and travel that inspires, but with a modern-day sensibility and aesthetic that speaks to today’s guest.
Description of the Training:
Gain invaluable skills and knowledge in the Food and Beverage department of a world-leading luxury hotel/resort through a J-1 hospitality internship or traineeship program at the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore. During your program, you will receive training and mentorship from industry leaders in the F&B field as you rotate through different outlets on the property. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience to excel in your career when you return to your home country.
ITN & ODYSSEY All-Inclusive Program:
Unlike most J-1 Program providers, a regional ITN representative will guide you through a streamlined registration process, thanks to ITN and ODYSSEY’s all-inclusive approach. ITN and ODYSSEY will be on hand to provide you with the very best personalized service from the time that you arrive in the United States until your departure from the United States upon completion of your program.
Description of the Location:
Baltimore is known to both visitors and locals as a unique and vibrant city. Experience the vibrant heart of the city at Inner Harbour, home to the National Aquarium, an urban beach, and a plethora of shops and seafood restaurants. Art lovers will be intrigued by the wondrous collection at the Baltimore Museum of Art, while a ballgame at the storied Oriole Park is a must-do for any sports fanatic. Diehard American and Civil Rights history aficionados cannot leave without visiting Fort McHenry – the site where the Star-Spangled Banner song was composed.
