Job Summary

 

A major part of this role will involve cleaning the female changing rooms and so we require a female cleaner only for this role.

 

To ensure members have the best Health & Fitness experience possible ensuring Cleanliness and Hygienic is achieved to the highest Marriott brand standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar operation (preferred)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening,)
  • High Standard of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Pro-active and reliable
  • Able to work alone and within a team
  • Flexible – shift pattern
  • Must be Customer Focused

Education or Certification

SPECIFIC DUTIES 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • Ensure changing areas, store rooms, counters, toilets, sun beds, laundry, offices and club corridors are clean and tidy at all times
  • Ensure all mirrors and glass in the club are clean at all times
  • Always clean showers during quiet times so that members are not affected.
  • Always check all grills in the showers, vanity areas to make sure they are dust/dirt free
  • When cleaning ensure there are always signs up warning members of slippery or dangerous surfaces. Never block gangways with Hoover leads
  • Make sure you are familiar with all the different cleaning fluids and what they are to be used on
  • Ensure there are always enough towels on reception. If in doubt contact the Manager on Duty
  • Changing rooms should be mopped continuously and shower drains are to be cleaned regularly and whenever is necessary (this prevents flooding of the showers).
  • Shower gel and body lotion containers are to be filled continuously
  • Ensure the tissue dispensers throughout the club (especially the gym, toilets and sun beds) are changed regularly.  Pay particular attention to cleaning and re-stocking the changing room toilets.
  • Make sure any valuable lost property (jewellery etc) is sent to reception and logged in the lost property book. Any less valuable items such as T-Shirts, running shoes etc are stored in the lost property
  • Assist with deliveries if required. Also help reception associates or the office associates if needed
  • Deep cleaning of high usage areas such as showers, poolside, toilets, all floor
  • Assist where necessary in all cleaning around the gyms and studios
  •  

    Other Duties

    • Deep cleaning required at specified times in sauna and steam rooms
    • Assist with any operational issues within Health & Beauty Spa i.e. towels and toiletries
    • Pick up litter internally and externally paying particular attention to Country Club entrance
    • Ensure all notice boards are neat and tidy to Marriott standard and all notices are in date
    • To familiarise oneself completely with changing rooms, reception and swimming pool operations and functions
    • To develop a hands on approach to the day to day running of the club
    • To maintain cleanliness and operation standards within the solarium room
