As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Group Sales Coordinator based in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of daily sales operations tasks for the assigned region, adhering closely to established processes and policy guidelines. Deliver five-star service for internal sales teams and external trade partners which will facilitate QR revenue generating sales activities. Play an active role in maintaining strong esprit de corp for the sales operations team, and participate in relationship building with internal stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure an overall utilization of booked seats for more than half of capacity measured from 90 days prior to departure.
  • Evaluate the request for potential business that will materialize and contribute to relevant input for sales and capital expenditure budgets. Monitor the results to ensure the revenue increase for the station.
  • Provide guideline and ensure proper implementation of service standards for group handling.
  • Receive and evaluate group requests from travel agencies and/ or corporate sectors to ensure timely action to have a better materialization ratio.
  • Understand the flight loads prior to submitting group requests for quick response and effective materialization.
  • Negotiate for a suitable rate according to groups needs by using group mask.
  • Ensure EMDs are updated in the PNR that tickets are properly reflecting and associated to passenger after the issuance of tickets.
  • Check and verify group materialization ratio as per QR policy to process EMD refunds.
  • Adhere closely to Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for sales operations functions ensuring alignment to QR’s global sales operations principles
  • Deliver customer-friendly, value added communications to external trade partners on QR-related matters such as campaigns, policy changes, and fare revisions.
  • Support the sales team in maintaining an up-to-date database of trade partners within the region. 
  • Produce reports for relevant markets and share monthly performance reports.
  • Keep customer profiles updated in Galaxy.

Qualifications
  • High School Qualification or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in any of these fields: reservations/ticketing, sales support, group sales, tariffs, distribution, business analysis.
  • Microsoft office skills (word/PowerPoint/Excel).
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of airline processes (e.g. Pricing/Distribution technology), systems (e.g. Amadeus, GDSes) and travel industry in general.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
