Job description

About Your Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for maximising and ensuring the commercial success of the airline in your area of responsibility.  You will generate passenger revenue in the assigned areas and surpass the allocated targets.  You will also protect existing business and constantly exploit new opportunities. You will also create maximum awareness of QRs products and services.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails and visiting potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Effectively managing accounts and key customers, planning sales calls, submitting sales call plans, and sales reports, as required
  • Updating the trade and corporate houses about QR products and services and represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and events
  • Researching and reporting other airline schedules/practices/fares and events and other potential QR concerns and recommend correct action
  • Maintaining regular contacts with the travel industry, ministries, government houses, clubs, schools, embassies, commercial houses etc. to acquire sales leads and increase awareness of QR products

About You:

To be effective in this role, you will need a College or University Degree combined with a minimum of four years of job related experience in an airline sales capacity.  Experience in meeting or over-achieving sales targets and a strong motivation to success in a fast growing company is required.  Prior experience with a GDS such as Amadeus would be advantageous.  You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office, with at least an intermediate proficiency in MS Excel to be able to perform numerical analysis.

You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in English to be effective in this role.
