About your Job:

In this role you will be responsible for the conception and successful delivery of Cargo’s transformation strategy, for the management of the program’s projects and of their inter dependencies, including risks and issues. You will be responsible for direct management of outsourced activity such as consulting services focusing on business transformation and re-engineering, for close management of all associated costs and the realization of projected benefits. You will have to ensure the integrity and coherence of the program, ensuring focus throughout it; you will develop and maintain the programme environment to implement the business transformation and you will manage key stakeholders to secure the resources required in delivering the committed outcomes.

Your main accountabilities in this role will be:

  • Developing a best practice strategic cycle for the business to include: assessment of the macro, micro and internal environment, identifying key global and industry-level threats; creating mechanisms for strategy development, organisational review and stakeholder engagement; selection and development of project management platform and reporting tool.
  • Oversight of long-term and annual strategic planning process for Cargo’s product and operations teams and lead the business case process.
  • Ensure optimum operational efficiency of all projects and manage the negotiation of contract pricing for projects.
  • Manage the Finance and Administration functions of all Corporate Projects ensuring the achievement of expenses/ revenue budgets and monitor expenditure and costs.
  • Act as internal consultant for key business leaders in vetting strategic ideas, identifying growth opportunities, developing plans and measure existing initiatives.

About you:

You have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Sales & Marketing or Finance. You must have minimum 10 years of relevant experience preferably in Air Cargo management with a major airline or freight forwarder or in a consulting firm.

You have experience managing large and diverse work groups preferably in a customer service environment, previous experience of major technology deliveries preferably in e-commerce; you have excellent grounding in modern contact centre practices and experience in Project Management. You have the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development, senior influencing and management skills and you have detailed understanding of the airline cargo value chain with professional experience in a range of key commercial functions.

You are a strategic thinker and change agent and you have the ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational level; strong managerial, mentoring and coaching skills.
