KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Maintain complete knowledge of:

-      All hotel features / services, hours of operation

-      Hotel function space, entertainment options, menus and floral decoration options

-      Hotel safety guidelines and evacuation plan

-      Scheduled daily group activities

·         Promote positive relations with guests and employees

·         Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously

·         Acknowledge all customers and handle guest complaints to their satisfaction

·         Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant manner using Raffles telephone etiquette

·         Handle telephone enquiries according to departmental procedure

·         Review in-house guest list and be familiar with guest names and room locations

·         Follow-up with in-house guest to ensure on-going service to the guest

·         Develop professional relationships with key players in the designated Market segment to build business

·         Liaise with banquet team to ensure correct set-up of function to meet guests needs

·         Arrange site inspections for potential guests

·         Maintain high level of knowledge of the competition's product

·         Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels; promote all Raffles Hotels whenever possible

 


PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

·         Able to develop rapport with Colleagues and Management staff

·         Strong organization and time management skills in prioritizing work assignments

·         Computer literate

·         Ability to do basic arithmetic

·         Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

·         Excellent follow-up and documentation skills

·         Service industry experience preferably in a four or five star hotel

·         Ability to calmly and effectively execute last minute requests

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·         Post Secondary Education

 

EXPERIENCE

 

·         Minimum 1 year’s experience in hotel operations in hotel operations, related to or preferably in special events, weddings, conference services etc
