AsDirector of Americayou will be responsible for assembling the people, processes and systems that allow us to consistently deliver perfect, seamless experience to our guests and homeowners. You will be in charge of maintaining our exceptional quality day in day out all whilst collaborating with other global leaders to initiate change on our path to sustainability. You will need to be able to thrive in a startup environment and be eager to roll your sleeves up and help to rebuild the American market. This role will lead the supply acquisition team,service and operations to build on our 50 person operation.
 
About the Role
 
Reporting to the CEO of onefinestay based in Paris, this role involves in-depth knowledge of the NY real estate community, significant team-building responsibility and competence spanning strategy and execution to drive host and guest growth, build brand awareness, and promote new business development. 
You will have responsibility for the satisfaction of both our guests and hosts with regards to all matters relating to the Operating team standards. You will frequently operate under time and budget constraints, and will need to make the right calls as to what is prioritized and what is put on hold, and as to the balance between short--term performance and long--term strategy. This role requires a highly organized and efficient operator. Structured in approach but ability to roll with the punches when things don’t go right. Great at knowing what has to be done, while accepting that some things will just not get done immediately. Prioritizing is key.
 
Duties and responsibilities
 

Managing the North America P&L, from top-line to bottom-line. Must be able to take ownership over the financials of the American market.

Oversee the Customer Service, Operations and Supply of homes teams.

Building, motivating and managing an ambitious team of approximately 50 FTEs today, mostly in New York and Los Angeles

Navigating a highly complex real estate environment, with local regulations and building rules, in major North American cities

Working with the group’s functional departments on finances, reporting, brand, marketing, human resources

Bring innovation to deliver growth and profitability

Taking ownership of the US market

Qualifications and experience
 
  • Commercial drive and determination – achieving growth beyond expectations is why you come to work
  • 4 years’ experience in relevant operational and line-management roles within a fast growing people--intensive business (think logistics, transportation, food service, retail, hospitality, or other similar high intensity operational businesses).
  • An experienced leader of all types of people. You’ll know how to motivate a team in high-pressure situations and collaborate cross-functionally and across geographies, proven leadership including recruiting for and managing teams.
  • You can also lead from the front – you’re going to be the visible face of a well-established business, both internally and externally
  • Excellent written communication skills and Intellectual curiosity & passions outside of work
  • You’re a doer as well as a thinker– you take a practical, action orientated approach to simply getting stuff done
  • A passion for efficiency and accuracy and a constant demand for excellence.
