Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Functions

  • Handles key accounts and pro-actively source for growth both FIT and MICE business.
  • Represent Shangri-La hotels in the yearly RFP / Regional Agreement rate submission and negotiation process with the global accounts (HVGA, GA, CNA) to ensure that best financial growth for our SLI hotels during RFP periods as well as new hotels with potential are being enlisted.
  • Responsible for quarterly Global account production review with client, liaise with other RSO RAMs and final report to Director of Global Account base in HK.
  • Provide training and ensure that the Global account RFP process is communicated and understood by all the corporate sales team
  •  Assist DOSM-RSOSHA monitor the performance of both Revenue and Room Night for RSO SHA corporate sales team and each sales manager individual result
  • Assist DOSM-RSOSHA to formulate and implement corporate sales strategies.
  • Pro-actively source for new account and growth both FIT and MICE business.
  • Interact and maintain a strong rapport with responsible key corporate clients/accounts and to constantly support the corporate sales team with their key accounts whenever it is required
  • Monitor, analyze and report on competitors’ sales and promotion activities.
  • Human Resources and Regional Sales Organization Functions

  • Guide and provide training for new staff in the Corporate Sales Team
  • Identify, implement and monitor relevant development programs and ensure knowledge is shared within the workplace.
  • Assist RSOSHA DOSM on proposing suitable candidates for any new sales position of RSO SHA.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards staff and clients.
  • Administration

  • Fully responsible of the accuracy account information and production update of Global Accounts plan.
  • Develop and maintain clientele database and track their business activities in Global Delphi.
  • Update all RFP related information on Nexus (including company background, market information, negotiation strategies etc.) and constantly review the status of each global account.
  • Pro-actively source leads for the hotels (both China and non-China) and communicate these leads to the hotels through Meeting Broker.
  • Ensure all group leads are updated in Global Delphi on a timely manner.
  • Ensure all reports are presented in the required format and delivered within set time frames.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators as set and agreed to.
  • Assist DOSM to arrange for both clients and sales managers Fam trip
  • Communications
  • Ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained with all relevant external parties, including government, industry and regulatory bodies, suppliers etc.
  • In representing the company, to ensure that the Shangri-La brand is not compromised in any way when carrying out sales activities.
  • Communicate with the hotels’ DOSs, Director of Global Accounts and other RSOs on a regular basis for business related subjects.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues from visiting hotels
  • ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Achieve Revenue, Room-Nights and other strategic targets as assigned
  • Business growth in responsible Global Accounts and National corporate accounts base in Shanghai.
  • Fully accountable for generating quality leads and opportunities for all hotels
  • Fully accountable for execution of the Global Accounts RFP / Regional Account Agreement Process.
