As an integral part of the sales and marketing department, the Marketing& Digital Executive is a strategic function and encompasses the actions we take to influence our external and internal guests, owner, company and community-at-large.

Publicity, promotion and civic involvement are all means to accomplish the goal of enhanced hotel, brand and business perception and when aligned with marketing objectives, improved business.

 

The Marketing & Digital Executive is responsible for four key areas:

  • digital strategy and activation
  • social media
  • marketing
  • Public Relation (co-branding events & Evenings at Renaissance activation)

HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel is luxury boutique hotel& Spa situated in the heart of France's capital city, steps away from a vast assortment of world-class boutiques in the shopping district and only one block from Place Vendome; we're also a short distance from the Louvre Museum, the Paris Opera and Place de la Concorde. All of our beautifully appointed, spacious hotel rooms showcase sophisticated boutique touches and a wide range of contemporary amenities like marble bathrooms, luxury bedding, robes and slippers and 24-hour room service. MISSIONS

 To guarantee success in this role; the ideal candidate must have an understanding of how to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns; strategic media pitches; proven media relationships; strong writing skills and speaking; and the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects effectively.  

Forward planning, organization, activation and alignment of planned activities to business goals and objectives is an integral part of the role

He / She will assist the Senior Hotel Sales Manager in the daily activities of the sales department and especially by developing and making successful the digital, marketing and public relations action plan.

He/she is responsible for the follow up, improvement of the digital programs and respect of the brand activations and recommendations in terms of marketing and PR.

 

He/she manages the press relations and demands coming from the PR agencies of Marriott.

 

Management of the integration of public relations and social media into the existing Sales & Marketing plan and enforcing all standard operating procedures for engagement in the space is also required

 

Previous experience of managing suppliers including a PR agency and digital agency are a plus. This position reports to the Senior Hotel Sales Manager.

 

Previous experience of overseeing photo shoots and filming

 

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Marketing & Communication

  • Contribute to the Sales & Marketing Department by sharing new ideas and suggestions for improvements, being innovative and creative to provide a quality service to the hotel
  • Creation of marketing & communication tools (brochures, flyers…)
  • Programming co-brandings and artistic events as part of the “Evenings at Renaissance” program
  • Contribute to the Sales & Marketing Department by sharing new ideas and suggestions for improvements, being innovative and creative to provide a quality service to the hotel
  • Interfaces with regional marketing communications for regional and national promotions pull through
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
  • Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing annual Marketing Calendar, incorporating both hotel and F&B Marketing initiatives
  • Supports Senior Hotel Sales Manager in a variety of marketing projects including collateral and proof reading
  • Updating and maintaining the hotel website, hotel App and hotel social media platforms on a regular basis
  • Liaising with Marriott Digital Service regarding Ecommerce projects, SEO and maintaining scorecard
  • Evaluates and reports on marketing activity and success, such as evaluating web traffic or social media metrics
  • Copywriting and producing the monthly hotel newsletter
  • Development of Marketing partnership / co-branding to increase hotel visibility
  • Creating and processing any advertising requests and journalist visits
  • Designs PowerPoint presentations, flyers and all customer facing tools as directed by Senior Hotel Sales Manager
  • Organizes and supervises photo and film shoots, ensuring all photography folders and image usage rights are up to date
  • Promote awareness of the property throughout various marketing opportunities with different consortia travel programs.
  • Liaise with design and printing companies on various projects/collateral
  • Managing the purchase of all corporate giveaways/seasonal client gifts
  • Manages the filming segment including inspections
  • Measurement of all marketing & PR related KPI’s

 

Public Relations

  • Working with the Hotel Sales Leader to identify PR opportunities for the hotel and F&B outlets, being aware of opportunities and threats
  • Coordinate on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining
  • Working with Senior Hotel Sales Manager on research, media sell ins and follow ups
  • Responsible for Social media sites
  • Managing press clippings, press board and press cuttings books
  • Organizing media library of magazines and newspapers to use as a reference point for Marketing and PR activity
  • Responding to and managing daily requests from the PR agency  and other partner agencies
  • Assist with regular photo shoots for restaurant interiors, food and beverage shots
  • Meet with key influencers/regular bloggers to build and maintain relationships
  • Liaise for regular visits, organize complementary food and check up on return social profiling

  • Digital / E-channel action plan & strategy with Marriott Digital Services agency
  • Updates and follow up on all digital hotel actions
  • Website and keyword optimization
  • Increase the number of quality and relevant inbound links to the hotel website.
  • Follow up and analysis of e-commerce reporting with MDS team
  • Online actions, campaigns and packages creation & launch for the hotel
  • Community & management of social medias

 

Website and Database Management 

 

  • Maintain content in line with activity – including monthly menu updates, events, etc
  • Copywriting – in line with brand
  • Photo update and rescaling
  • Monitoring competitors/best in class websites and activity (content they are sharing, gaining engagement)
  • Grow database
  • Maintain database
  • Develop local marketing databases

 

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Hotel Sales Manager to meet business needs.
  • Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
  • Follow and respect all standard local procedures (SOP et LSOP)
