Job description

Flexible duration: 6, 10 or 12 months

These roles include:
• In charge of collecting guest preferences, special needs, hobby and so on. Ensure that all the guest comments are updated in all necessary Guest History databases.
• To be knowledgeable on all facts of the hotel product, including room types, room rates, relative features and facilities, Food and Beverage outlets, Club lounge.
• Also be familiar with hotel’s rules and regulations. Develop close and harmonious working relationship with other departments. Coordinate with other departments in order to offer better service for guests. Understanding how to considering the situation of whole hotel, good communication with other departments.
• Ensure completion of all tasks for the shift and handover to the next shift without missing out on any guest related requests. To ensure all the logbooks, handovers and check-lists are well maintained. To be follow up the unresolved incident carefully.
• To ensure that all checklist resolve when they before off duty.
• Monitor the VIP arrival especial for weekend, assign proper rooms for them and make sure rooms are ready before the come. Know VIPs preference, the more the better.
• To be a brand ambassadress of the hotel one who makes a great first impression for guests when a guest walks into the hotel. She is the lobby hostess in the whole day who assists, meets up with all guests in the lobby & lobby lounge, let FD and all FO can meet and know where is him/her, solve guests queries, give suggestions, escort them to Front Desk, to Food & Beverage outlets and the Club Lounge. Welcome all guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• To anticipate guest needs and handle guests inquiries in a helpful and attentive manner.
• They will be using the maximum speed to handle guest complaining and un-satisfaction, make notes in detail: time, where, reason, the whole process of the incident, detailed content, who and result).
• To get maximum feed back from the guests in all the areas of the hotel and has a key responsibility for the Guest Response process set-up in the hotel as well as of achieving the targets set for Guest Satisfaction Survey.

We select students or graduates of subjects related to tourism management from around the world.

• Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Understand that the purpose of this program is not to serve as a work program but a cultural exchange;
• Be interviewed in-person, over the phone or via web camera by CHT or an approved CHT cooperator.
• Training programs must be related to applicants’ occupational fields, which they must be actively pursuing;
• Experience in relevant area will be considered a plus;
• Have verifiable English language skills and possess comprehension of English terminology of their field, other languages will be considered as a plus (Chinese not required);
• At the end of the traineeship, participants must provide a report of the traineeship experience;
• MS Office knowledge;
• Opera, will be considered as a plus

• Be enrolled or graduated in tourism management;
• Strong affinity for and commitment to the hotel industry;
• Willingness to demonstrate initiative and perform shift duties;
• Strong market sense and results orientation;
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
