Job description

He will assist the Hotel Manager in the following activities:

- Ensuring that all Departmental Operations Manuals and Processes are maintained
and continuously updated as necessary relating to the specific department;
- Assisting in the development and implementation of a Strategic Plan, Marketing
Plan, Budget and Goals Programme to ensure on an on-going basis optimum
guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability within the specific department;
- Ensuring that deadlines on all projects are met and timely submitted to the General
Managers office or the relevant department;
- Ensuring that meetings are well planned and result-orientated and produce effective
Outcomes;
- Conducting frequent and thorough inspections of all department operations areas;
- Conducting monthly communication meetings with assistant Managers and to
participate in relevant meetings which are business related;
- Planning of training and development of all staff in order to minimize staff-
turnover, reward superior performance and produce a harmonious working environment;
- Monitoring employee’s performance and development by providing direction and
feedback to employees in adhering to service procedures through a performance
appraisal system;
- Assisting in recruiting and selecting Management Members who are able to work
within a decentralized management philosophy and aim to achieve the Company
Vision;
- Spending the majority of working hours within the operational area, ensuring the
operation is managed well by the Assistant Management team and functions
properly to his / her fullest expectation;
- Drafting department budget, defining and directing changes;
- Ensuring hotel implementation and compliance of Hilton Hotels Corporation policies
and procedures as well as Brand Standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Degree in tourist and hotel management disciplines;
- Previous experience in the role in extra – EU countries would be an asset.

Required Competences:
- Leadership and personnel management in a multicultural environment;
- Experience in budgeting and financial management, planning, organising and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, reservations), food and beverage operations, and housekeeping;
- Good knowledge and practice of IT programs;
- Fluidity in English and French language;
- Good organizational skills.
