Overview:

The Regional Director is responsible for leading sales and business strategy of the Montblanc boutiques in the US and Canada region with the main objectives of implementing the brand strategy within the East Coast, developing sales opportunities, driving business development, providing leadership and growing the sales teams and reaching a sustainable high quality of service.  

Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead the boutique teams to drive sales and to develop clienteling strategies to engage its diverse client base 
  • Ensure the respect of the visual merchandising guidelines by supervising the east Coast network in order to grant a qualitative product visibility
  • Work in partnership with the marketing department in order to grant that all the activations and marketing projects are effective and qualitative 
  • Be able to significantly contribute to the VIP business increase by coaching and supporting the Grand Vendeurs within the East Coast Region
  • Create a superior and consistent experience for the Montblanc client across the highly dispersed regional markets.
  • Create specific business plan per boutique.  Facilitate discussions with boutique managers to drive the business plan
  • Check the boutique performance by monitoring on a weekly basis the major commercial KPIs
  • Be active in developing incentive plan in partnership with the Operations department 
  • On a regular basis check the stock status by boutique and re-act in order to make sure that the best sellers and the stock rotation are aligned with the targets 
  • Develop new business ideas
  • Be acutely aware of mall environment/drive mall mgmt activities
  • Learn the immediate and larger market (region)
  • P & L management including monitoring and controlling boutique business expenses to improve results
  • Manage operational execution (Policy and Procedure) for the region
  • Ensure Loss Prevention policies and practices are being followed within the boutiques.
  • Coach, develop and maximize the success of all Boutique Directors in the Region.  Partner with Human Resources on staffing and development issues.
  • Be proactive in creating a good workplace and ensure  stability

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Related field required
  • At least 8+ years of multi-store retail management experience
  • Luxury Retail experience is a must
  • Must have experience working for a global organization.
  • Good ability in networking within the local community of the opinion leaders and trend setters
  • Affinity for luxury goods; Watch, jewelry, and leather goods experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of the luxury client experience
  • Pro-active problem solver – ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution
  • Ability to Travel in the US Market & Abroad up to 80%

  • Strong computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Visual Merchandising competences
