WHAT ARE OUR EXPECTATIONS? 

The Senior Manager, Events is responsible for communicating and implementing special event initiatives throughout North America.

In this role you will collaborate with corporate and retail teams to provide the highest level of support across all types of network activations while always ensuring the Maison's image and communications strategies are met.  You will manage all aspects of event planning from event conception/development, contracting/negotiating with vendor, and overseeing entire event production.

The ideal candidate must have experience in planning and implementing special large-scale events and/or proven background of project management. You thrive in high-pressure settings, have a great sense of urgency, are decisive and act with grace. You possess the expertise, passion and are always in search of excellence through the project planning process. You must have a strong understanding of luxury retail and can be agile, propose creative ideas, problem solve and prioritize workload in a high demand environment. And, have the ability and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time including weekends.

  Conceptualize, develop, and manage execution of all large scope & special projects 

  • Brief both internal and external partners on projects/initiatives
  • Act as liaison between corporate, external partners, and retail teams
  • Manage development process of creative concepts implementing feedback and modifications through the process
  • Contract and manage multiple vendors and resources to execute approved plans
  • Review and ensure all proper legal documentation related to each project is completed 
  • Manage event details including but not limited to invitation creation, securing models, AV needs, shipping logistics, confirming catering, coordinating security, event budget, invoicing, process payment, and etc.
  • Oversee the technical, engineering and production of the project
  • Onsite event management


Build and nurture new and existing vendor relationships

  • Contract, negotiate and secure preferred vendors and best rates with Richemont Procurement team by retail region
  • Constantly identify and secure new vendors based on Maison/event needs and values


Supervise and guide team of direct report

  • Develop and maintain an efficient team through transmission and performance management
  • Lead an internal and external event team to produce top level events
  • Inspire direct reports to embody the Maison’s values, standards and expectations – focusing on humility, respect and collaboration   


Plan and Monitor Event Strategy and Budget

  • Build and maintain an active communication calendar of activities, events and ROI
  • Oversee budget and tracking of larger project ensuring it respects project budget and Richemont standards  
  • Forecast, plan and review Events yearly budget
  • Submit, track, and monitor Events budget throughout the year
  • Review and approve invoices
  • Ensure direct reports budgets are aligned with BU plan
  • Recap and apply best practices and learnings to enhance future projects


REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 plus years’ experience, preferably in all related areas of Visual Merchandising, Events, Advertising, Marketing, and Communications.
  • Luxury experience a plus.
  • Proven large-scale event production required.
