Job Description:
Rosewood Bermuda is seeking a Security Officer who will be responsible for performing routine investigations and security assessments to ensure the safety of internal and external clientele The Officer will report directly to the Security Supervisor/Director of Security and must be able and willing to work a shift schedule.  Other related responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
Control keys and keep an accurate log record of all keys that are issued
Monitor security cameras
Monitoring and responding to Exit and Fire Alarms
Make computer entries and key and lost found registry
Conduct random bag searches upon the entering and exiting of employees
Open guest room safe and read door locks
Foot and vehicle patrols of the resort
Monitor parking and Traffic around the resort
Administer First Aid and respond prompt to all health emergencies and accidents
Keep all emergency lanes, entrances and exits clear at all times for the smooth and quick passage of emergency vehicles
Monitor parking lots, entrances, exits perimeter walls hedges, gates and beach access areas
Enforce “No Smoking” rules if violations are seen in unauthorized areas
Detain and or remove unwanted persons from the property
Investigate all incidents and write a report about all incidents that occur on the resort property such as: thefts, violence, slip and fall, water related incidents which may occur at the pool or beach.
Job Requirements: Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in corporate security or other security organizations is desired.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Secondary training in technological applications (CCTV) and conflict resolution techniques would be a useful asset.
Applicant must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up. Have good co-ordination skills to plan and execute actions in response to security challenges; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest(s) service needs; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with associates in other departments, Managing Directors and external clients, with sensitivity and respect for diversity; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest(s) information and pertinent hotel data. Good basic skills in security procedures to be able to recognize and evaluate threats and potential dangers; ability to effectively deal with a diverse range of internal incidents. Possess or be willing to get CPR and First Aid certification.
