Job Description: OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for accurate and efficient handling of tee time reservations for Members and Hotel Guests, including caddy reservations and daily tee time reconciliation; shop merchandise sales and special order requirements for members and guests; shop maintenance and appearance under specified guidelines. Learn, understand, and implement CordeValle and Rosewood Mission Statement and Core Values to enhance and provide maximum enjoyment for all internal and external guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make accurate tee times for Members; make accurate future tee times for Hotel Guests.
Properly check in golfers.
Answer telephone with positive, professional etiquette in 3 rings or less.
Interface with Caddy Master to assure accurate scheduling of caddies and forecaddies.
Daily reconciliation of tee sheet and Caddie Sheet.
Proficient in POS and Tee Time Reservation program.
Execute Opening Responsibilities according to set standards.
Daily execution of bank balancing.
Assist with merchandise pricing, displays and rotation.
Assist in quarterly inventories and reconciliation.
Properly ring in merchandise with respective discounts.
Properly execute Special Order Form and necessary follow-up.
Maintain shop appearance according to set standards.
Execute Closing Responsibilities including Hole Location Charts and Caddie Balance sheet.
Demonstrate understanding of shop merchandise including soft and hard goods.
Work with Reservations to assure accurate transfer of information.
Assist Professionals and Starter in daily management of member and guest play.
Assist the Grill with customer orders when necessary.
Assist with upkeep of merchandise backroom.
Perform weekly counts of key items as assigned.
Work with Sales and Marketing to greet potential group meeting planners on property tours.
Process gift certificates in Administrative Assistance absences.
During tournaments, assist in merchandise dispersion or golfer check-ins.
Design and display merchandise information cards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous retail sales experience or customer service experience.
· Education: High school graduate
General Skills: Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.. Capable of multi-tasking. Previous Golf Shop sales experience. Previous hospitality experience. Able to remain calm and react quickly when confronted with several tasks at once. Able to work closely with other operating departments on property. Outgoing personality. Strong personal selling skills and desire to learn. Ability to work flexible work schedules based upon activity and seasonality.
Technical Skills: Must have the ability to provide the highest level of customer service in the Computer literate in Word and Excel. Written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills. Able to work unsupervised and make decisions in managers absence. Able to maintain cash bank and always balanced.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting _____ pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
