Job Description:
A member of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia Reflections team, the Host/Hostess will play a key role in consistently providing an engaging level of warm and genuine service to our guests. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Management team, the host/hostess will courteously greet and escort guests to tables. Further responsibilities will also include but not be limited to: Assist with preparing the lounge for service, maintaining cleanliness of room, and liaise with incoming inquiries for reservations. Reflections Lounge is a seasonal operation; open from April to October.
Anticipate guests’ needs, responding promptly and acknowledging all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
When nearing capacity, to ensure flow of patrons into lounge is consistent and in keeping with 5-star standards of service (i.e. Do not overflow the room).
Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
Prepare reservations and floor plan for service.
Assist service and bar team with the running of food and drinks and cleaning, clearing and resetting tables.
Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensure adequate quantities are available; update menus and wine lists as changes occur.
Communicate V.I.P. arrivals and special requests to designated personnel for follow up.
All other duties as required.
Job Requirements: Skills/Knowledge Required:
Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times. 
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
Must be self directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all verbal and written interactions.
Ability to actively demonstrate initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
Excels in a team environment.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a 24/7 hotel environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Requirements:
Serving it Right certification
Experience:  Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Server or Food & Beverage experience preferably in a luxury or ultra-luxury environment.
Education:  High school diploma.
