Job Description: Objective:  To provide CordeValle quality service and product to all guests.  Perform all aspects of function space set-up and maintenance.
Job Functions:
Meet and exceed guest and staff expectations by providing CordeValle quality service and product.
Provide value-added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Communicate effectively with guests, staff and supervisors.
Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting staff as needed
Handle difficult situations effectively
Show willingness to serve and assist guests an fellow staff members at all times
Be in charge of training new hires to the standards of CordeValle
Assist in maintaining inventory par levels and ensuring inventory is well maintained
Menu
Must have basic knowledge of banquet menus and beverage lists
Outlet Responsibilities
Responsible for set up of function space as indicated on the BEO
Responsible for breakdown of the function space
Conduct final inspection to ensure function space is properly set
Responsible for collection, count and drop off of clean and soiled linens
Provide safe environment for guests and staff by recognizing any possible hazards
Keep back storage and electrical room clean and free of clutter
Food and Beverage Service
Assist Captains, Servers and Bartenders upon request
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
 
Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the property.
Maintain complete knowledge Rosewood Standards and Responsibilities as well as CordeValle policies and Procedures.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
 
Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.
Complete opening side duties as assigned.
Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
 
Qualifications:
Experience:
 - Minimum one year’s experience in Banquets for a luxury or ultra luxury Hotel or Resort
-  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
