OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, assisting the Managing Director in implementing hotel goals, strategies, etc., and fulfilling the Managing Director’s duties in his/her absence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis. All LQA and Forbes Standards have to be adhered to consistently and set yearly goals achieved.
- Oversee and direct the Food and Beverage Division, Rooms Division and our Sense Spa.
- Assist in establishing and creating goals and strategies for both the operational and financial success of the operational departments.
- Have a good relationship with Rosewood corporate office and ensure all corporate goals are well executed.
- Responsible for pushing the revenue in his/her divisions and ensure the GOP of these are aligned to budget or improved. Importance to have a close cost control.
- As a member of the executive team, work closely with other team members in achieving hotel's goals and objectives.
- Establish annual objectives for Executives and Department Heads reporting to him or her.
- Responsible for employee compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Initiate disciplinary action when appropriate.
- In charge of achieving a high colleague engagement of the operational divisions
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members.
- Respond in courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and associate difficulties.
- Lead constantly by example.
- Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Be very flexible with working hours and happy to work on weekends or whenever the operation needs his or her support.

About you

- Experience: Minimum ten years’ hotel experience with at least five years’ experience at the Executive Level. Must have a very solid background in Food & Beverage. Must have worked in 5*GL hotels. Ideally from other ultra luxury hotel collections.
- Education: Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Language: English and Spanish is a must. Any other languages are a plus.
