Sandton Brussels Centre

Our unique Sandton Brussels Centre hotel is located in the heart of Brussels. The hotel is about 600 meters away from the Grand Place and has 70 rooms and 3 meeting rooms, where we receive business guests but also leisure guests. Our hotel has a comfortable lounge bar where we gladly provide our guests with snacks and a drink. The hotel is luxuriously furnished and offers comfort to our guests. Our staff will gladly ensure an unforgettable stay in the hotel. Tripadvisor has awarded the hotel with the Certificate of Excellence, because of the consistently great traveler reviews we have received. Internship Duty Management (available from February 2020)

During this internship you will be responsible for a multitude of tasks in our hotel. You will be working in and with all the different departments, from front and back office to housekeeping, the technical service and much more. You will be the first point of contact for both our guests and our staff. You will be able to solve operational problems and treat specific requests and complaints from our guests. As a part of this team you will be allowed to try and to learn and you will receive the necessary space and freedom to develop your competences and to show us what you can do.

Internship Front Office (available from February 2020)

During this internship you will be part of our front office team. You will be the first person of contact for our guests and it will be one of your responsibilities to make them feel welcome. When they require (touristic) information or want to make a reservation somewhere, it will be your job to assist them and give them advice. You will be taking care of (phone) reservations, check-in and check-out and the administrative processing of personal details. As a team you are responsible for the well-being of our guests, which means you need to be able to serve a welcome drink as well and gain experience within F&B. You will be in constant contact with guests which offers the perfect opportunity to train your service levels at a high and exclusive level.

Internship Reservations & Revenue (available from February 2020)

During this internship you will be part of our reservations team as well as our revenue team for both our hotels in Brussels. You will work with the reservations team for 2 days and with the revenue team for 3 days.

Reservations: You will receive and accept phone reservations and send confirmations and tenders. You will be doing the input of group reservations, adapting and updating the system and creating offers. You will be able to implement your knowledge about yield management and your commercial insights. You will be working in close collaboration with the Sales Department as well as the Front Office Department.

Revenue management: You will be assisting our hotel manager and our revenue manager. You will be asked to prepare meetings and communicate with multiple partners such as booking.com, Expedia, etc. You will be able to apply yield management and commercial insights in both customer relations as well as bookings.

Check your profile;

  • You are following a training course in the field of hotels/tourism and an internship is an integral part of your education
  • Available for a 5-month internship
  • Experience in a similar role in the hotel industry/hospitality is an advantage
  • Eager to learn and able to work independently
  • Flexible and enthusiastic to learn and develop
  • Impeccable communication skills oral and written in Dutch and/or French and English, any other language is a plus

What we offer

We offer you a diversified internship in a luxury boutique hotel that approaches things differently. You will join a team of experienced hospitality professionals who are ready to teach you everything they know about hospitality and coach you to become the best you can be. On top of that you will receive a monthly pay of €400. Please note that we cannot offer accommodation to our interns. If you apply please make sure you have or can find accommodation for the duration of your internship. If needed, we can give you advice about this.
