About the job

Responsibilities:

-Report to work on time and check schedule the day before
Work with colleagues to ensure the day to day operation is smooth
-Prepare the daily mis-en-place, cook and serve all recipe dishes from section according to brand standards
-Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
-Minimize wastage through correct preparation levels, stock control and portioning
-Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
-Control food stock of designed section
-Proper handling of overproduction and wastage for each function
-Conduct taste of preparation with senior in charge
-Maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment
-Follow HACCP procedures according to company standards
-Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils
-Report any defects in equipment immediately to the chef in charge
-Clearly communicate any issues impacting section / food quality
-Attend training sessions whether internal or external, as and when required
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
-Be able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross training when directed
-Report to chef in charge of any problem or complain related to colleagues or guests
-Promote and maintain effective communication between supervisors and team members
-Carry out any reasonable instructions / duties as directed

About you

Qualifications:

-At least 1 year of experience as Chef De Partie
-Experience in standalone restaurants
-Experience in British cuisine or smokehouse concepts
  • Language required: English.
