The Accounting Manager will be a part of a vital and collaborative team that works daily to successfully manage the financial aspects of our business.  He/she will interface directly with finance leadership to drive better financial performance and must possess a solid understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries for month end close
  • Preparation of account reconciliations
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices
  • Prepare monthly allocations and chargebacks to other business units and properties/venues
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including oversight of company-wide consolidation process
  • Support with the preparation of the annual financial statements in conjunction with the annual financial statement audit
  • Coordinate the work relating to both internal/external audits or reviews of the company’s financial records
  • Maintain updated accounts receivable and due to/from affiliate balances for intercompany transactions
  • Assist with operations for credit, collections and cash applications
  • Support the accounts payable function
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries
  • Review and identify opportunities for simplification and automation in the current financial processes and systems
  • Support process system improvements through leading and participating in various project initiatives
  • Prepare and support internal management reporting
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned
  • Flexibility in scheduling and hours of work required


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance Required
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of total work experience, including 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and finance principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience with complex consolidations is preferred, but not required
  • Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and particularly
