The Brand Standards are the key guidelines for the Development Team, Owners/Developers and Operations to support the global expansion of Treehouse Hotels. The main purpose of the Brand Standards is to capture and safeguard the Brand Experience of Treehouse on multiple aspects; from deal making, concepts design, detailing & Brand specifications (FF&, OS&E, IT, MEP) to sustainability, and thus globally.

SH is seeking a Brand Standards Director to join our fast paced, high energy and innovative design team. This position will be instrumental in defining the TH Design Guidelines and will report directly to the VP of Design of Treehouse. Candidates should have strong design experience on hospitality, commercial, and or residential projects where s/he was involved in all phases of the design process and can demonstrate creative involvement and understanding of processes and Brand Standards.

The Brand Standards Director actively manage and improve the Design Guidelines content by communicating with relevant providers, both internally and externally. He/she is responsible for the distribution of the Brand Standards to all relevant players and set Brand Standards training and onboarding sessions. The ideal candidate will bring both methodology and creativity to the position  and demonstrate experience with multiple internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a creative, detail oriented and self-motivated individual who possesses great communication skills, passion and loves to learn, grow, and contribute to exceptional built environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Safeguarding the Brand by improving and updating a set of straightforward Design Guidelines: design prototypes, typical details,  adjacencies, specifications
  • Research and select preferred vendors for FF&E, OS&E and IT
  • Keep updating the Design Guidelines with lesson learned
  • Review and comment FF&E, OS&E and IT packages – participating in the custom design and/or selection and documentation of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and material specifications
  • Collaborate with in-house operations teams, project consultants, product representatives, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
  • Manage Brand Standards communication, and Brand Standards consultants
  • Developing presentations that include mood boards, FFE & OS&E ideas, material palettes, etc for VP of design and executive reviews
  • Support the development of FFE, OS&E and IT budgets, schedules and templates
  • Selecting material and furniture specifications
  • Obtaining and managing samples and relationships with vendors
  • Researching and obtaining quotes from various vendors and following up on approvals
  • Sketching in AutoCAD and by-hand floor plans, details and concepts
  • Distributing new releases of the Brand Standards to all projects under development and tracking and communicating changes and updates
  • Directing new releases, including trainings and presentations;
  • Coordinating and documenting project specific deviations from the Brand Standards;
  • Contribute to office culture, initiatives and mentorship of staff.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES-

  • 8 to 12 years plus of professional experience in interior and/or architecture design firms and/or in-house design at a hospitality company. Hospitality experience and knowledge of Brand Standards best practice preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent editorial skills: proficient in AutoCAD, Revit,  Adobe Creative Suite,Sketchup, Microsoft office and Smartsheet
  • Structured and process-focused thinker
  • Hand sketching skills a plus
  • Minimum BA/BArch in Interior Design, Environmental Design or Architecture
