1 Hotel Hanalei Bay will feature 252 rooms, including 51 suites.  Thoughtful touches will bring nature into each space, with native greenery, reclaimed materials, organic cotton linens, and views of lush gardens, soaring mountains, or sparkling Hanalei Bay.  The hotel will be the quintessential venue for true wander lusters, future newlyweds, and business groups to indulge in the unsurpassed beauty of Kauai, "the garden island," and surrender to the physical, mental, and spiritual serenity it has to offer.

The Opportunity...

The Sales teams at SH are a group of experienced, insightful, interesting and creative experts who enable the top line growth of our hotels.  It's a team that role models the word, and one that's a joy to lead.  We're currently seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) to join our opening Executive team at 1 Hanalei Bay (opening August 2022).  You will have overall responsibility for the development and execution of the hotel's transient, group, catering and marketing strategy for all revenue generating areas of the hotel.  This important role requires close collaboration with revenue management and marketing, insightful planning, and a sharp ability to identify revenue growth opportunities.

This DOSM opportunity is based at the hotel in Kauai and will oversee local and US continental teams.

About you...
  • Passionate sales and marketing leader with a minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience within a luxury resort environment.
  • Experience with global luxury travel community, partners and luxury consortia.
  • An expert in hospitality sales and marketing, with a thoughtful leadership style and proven track record in team member engagement while fostering an inspiring work environment
  • Knowledge of global luxury B2B distribution landscape and segments, including group, transient and catering/weddings.
  • Hawaii market experience.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
  • Excels at communication, both verbal and written
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
