Job description

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in mainland China, will be a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity, and adventure. On opening day, the resort will be home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment venue, a Broadway-style theatre, a Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland will be a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we create this magical destination, we’re looking for a variety of world-class professionals including front line Cast Members and an innovative development team to help our plans take shape.
Responsibilities Miscellaneous abilities such as: support, coordination, implementation, follow-up and summary of events and projects; provide assistance to merchandise 3rd party vendors for their day to day operations; deal with after-sales cases and implement guest recovery on behalf of merchandise; Disney traditional Pin Trading support.
Good cross – department collaboration and coordination skills, including Disney internal and external.
Interested in long-term development in Merchandise.
Events and Projects
  • Participate in the planning of events and projects initiated by Merchandise
  • Integrate the resource and get support for Merchandise events and projects
  • Coordinate with different LOBs for events/project needs
  • Execute the event/project
  • Follow up the event/project
  • Recap the event/project

Merchandise Third Party Vendor Assistance
  • Coordinate the internal resources required for day to day operations
  • Assist in new product development
  • Fulfill new product clearance process
  • Participate in pricing for new product
  • Ensure to launch the new product accordingly
  • Collect revenue report
  • Identify revenue report
  • Send revenue report to Finance Team
  • Arrange Payment
  • Process Agreement/Contract Signing
  • Archive Agreement/Contract

Merchandise After-Sale Service and Guest Recovery
  • Daily counter to the Resort Call Center for collecting all merchandise related cases
  • Deal with return/exchange requirements
  • Handle guest complaints (In accordance with the severity of the cases, provide solution or come up with guest recovery by professional knowledge)
  • For some serious cases, punctually contact with the relevant teams or departments for their awareness and appropriate prepare
  • Properly send and receive merchandise
  • Properly handle the merchandise received from guests
  • Input all cases with details on daily basis and archive the file timely

Pin Trading
  • Purchase Pins for Pin Trading Activities for the resort
  • Apply for purchase order creation, follow up receiving and fulfill the payment
  • Organize and store pins
  • Update inventory for Pin Bank
  • Record Pin Requisition History
  • Refresh/distribute new pins to cast members on regular basis

Meetings
  • Assist and set up for meetings
  • Attend team meetings and touch bases as appropriate
  • Participate in fit sessions as needed

Basic Qualifications
  • Chinese native speaking with mandarin pronunciation
  • Fluent in English
  • College degree and/or equivalent
  • Proven retail guest service or store operations related experience
  • Project management experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated strong communication skill
  • Demonstrated excellent time management ability (good at prioritizing different missions and execute efficiently)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with typing and strong computer technology skills
  • Demonstrated strong partnering and working relationship skills while is able to work independently
  • Demonstrated positive attitude with the ability to be responsive to feedback
  • Demonstrated initiative skills in the work place
  • Ability to communicate tasks with management level
  • Ability to work as part of a high performance team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and process
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Shall complete and pass all job related trainings, assessment after on board (include but not limit to OJT, certificate(s) may require to perform the job)
