Job description

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in mainland China, is a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity, and adventure. The resort is home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment venue, a Broadway-style theatre, Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland is a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we continue to grow and create this magical destination, we are looking for a variety of world-class professionals to help our plans take shape.
This position will be responsible for Shanghai Disneyland Resort import and export audits to ensure broker quality and accuracy in filing customs entries in according to procedures and requirements. Develop and deploy trade compliance policies and procedures on import and export regulatory compliance. Drives efforts to reduce delays and secure the various compliance risk with which Shanghai Disney Resort is involved. Monitor special projects to ensure timely completion and quality results are achieved. Continually seeks and implements operational efficiencies for the company.
Responsibilities Process Management
  • Designs and implements the import and export system and process of internal assessment and external audit, broker management following global and China trade standard and policies.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert to monitor and interpret China Customs and trade regulations.
  • Monitor/implement special project for deploy automat trade system to enhance trade compliance operations
  • Centralize Customs valuation; HS code and Tariff classification, Country of origin and Record keeping procedures.
Customs Internal Audit
  • Internally organize the discussions toward customs audits, inquiries, self-discipline and coordinate replies to government authorities.
  • Perform internal audits according to process and procedure.
  • Assist to enhance and achieve higher level of customs grade for the company.
Supply Chain Partner Performance
  • Work to continuously foster positive and effective relationships with trade applicable partners
  • Develop, monitor, analyze and report on KPIs target for services and cost efficiency
  • Quarterly continuous improvement feedback sessions and action planning

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6-8 years minimum of Trade Compliance engineering, Supply Chain, Import related responsibility
  • Experience managing import & export transactions
  • Great change management and collaboration skills
  • Excellent relationship skills with ability to work in a global, multi-functional environment with all levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking & problem solving to assess and provide actionable outcome based solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • A mix of compliance and program management experience in import and export
