Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in mainland China, is a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity, and adventure. The resort is home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment venue, a Broadway-style theatre, Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland is a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we continue to grow and create this magical destination, we are looking for a variety of world-class professionals to help our plans take shape.
To assist Manager, Event Management strategize, develop, integrate, and lead the team of Event Services professionals and Sales Coordinators. This position is accountable for supervising and servicing various types of events and groups hosted in the hotels & park and for setting and maintaining a high level of guest service standard and client satisfaction KPIs. This position is responsible for creating opportunities for product upselling to contribute to BS&E revenue generation, via sales tools enhancements and product development.
  • To handle logistics and guest communication for major conferences and all Park / Land / WDGT Buyout events at Resort
  • To assure that the team provides consistent high-level guest satisfaction throughout each event
  • To work with other Operation LOBs on process and procedures fine tuning. To support Integration Services Manager in liaison with various LOBs partners to formulate solutions or to work out alternatives offerings to BS&E Sales Team when tackling clients demanding request
  • To provide product enhancements and marketing activity integration. To keep up-to date on current market intelligence, industry best practices and standards
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience
  • University degree and above
  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Opera & Delphi preferable)
  • Leadership skills with proven track record in managing a sizeable team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and external clients
  • A quick and strategic thinker and is result driven
  • Proven ability to translate strategies to action in a tight time
  • Self-motivated to complete assignments and achieve sales goals
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Detailed oriented
