Construction of the largest full-service Marriott-branded hotel in Shanghai, Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre opened its doors on 24 November, 2011. Located aside People's Square and Park on Xi Zang (Middle) Road, the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre enjoys a premium downtown location. Nanjing Pedestrian Street is a 30 second stroll from the hotel's street entrance. The BUND, Suzhou Creek and the lively Xintiandi are all within easy walking distance.


Develops and implements goals and strategies that serve to attract, develop and retain diverse premier talent which enables the successful implementation of hotel strategies of that cluster of hotels; the brand service strategy and brand initiatives also form a key focus.  Utilizes a Human Resource Business Plan aligned with hotel, brand and Regional HR strategies to deliver HR services that enable business success.  As a member of the executive committee, develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property associates.  Provide a return on investment to the owner and Marriott International.  For functional/discipline guidance, has a dotted line to the Regional Vice President of Human Resources (RVP HR).
  • To manage the Human Resources Department, ensuring compliance with all Hotel policies & procedures, and local government regulations pertaining to employment practice.

  • To develop a Human Resources Strategic plan in alignment with the Hotel’s business plan.
  • 根据酒店经营计划,制定人力资源政策。
  • To develop and implement recruitment and screening procedures in order to attract the most qualified candidates for vacancies.
  • 制定和实施招聘和面试程序,以吸引合格人才。
  • To oversee orientation of all new associates in accordance with Hotel guidelines.
  • 根据酒店政策,参与新员工入职培训。
  • To assess personnel development needs, recommend and oversee training programs, ensuring compliance with performance standards.
  • 评估员工个人发展需求,推荐和讲授培训课程,以保证表现达到标准。
  • To monitor the administration of the performance appraisal program and provide support to department heads through the process.
  • 监督员工表现评估,为部门经理提供支持。
  • To counsel associates as needed in areas such as career planning, training and act an advisory capacity to department heads on associate matters.

  • To investigate and review all disciplinary actions to ensure the policies and the applicable laws are followed.

  • To review personnel policies, procedures and practices and recommend improvements to Management.

  • To administer compensation and benefits, and develop recognition programs that  motivate, reward and retain associates.
  • 管理薪资和福利工作,建立员工奖励计划以激励、表彰和留住员工。
  • To participate in key decision making with the Executive Team.
  • 参与行政委员会重大决策。
  • To review hotel benefits and compensation levels and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • 回顾酒店薪资福利水平,在恰当时进行修改。
  • To maintain and update files on associate records, legal documents, policies & procedures and other personnel matters.
  • 保持并更新员工记录、法律文件、政策程序和其它与人事相关事宜。
  • To analyze Hotel manpower requirements and recommend selection and development activities to meet those requirements.
  • 分析酒店人力需求,推荐、选拔和开展相关活动。
  • To participate in the management development and succession plan by recommending candidates as appropriate.
  • 参与管理人员个人发展计划,继任计划,推荐适当候选人。
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
  • 完成管理层交给的其它任务。

    Profile of Competency
    • Thorough understanding of personnel and training functions
    • Experience in policy development and business planning in hotel operation
    • Good knowledge and understanding of labour law application and requirement.
    • Outgoing and pleasant character with good inter-personal communication skills.
    • Be able to operate computer software program.
    Language 语言能力:
    • Good command of spoken and written English.
