Construction of the largest full-service Marriott-branded hotel in Shanghai, Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre opened its doors on 24 November, 2011. Located aside People's Square and Park on Xi Zang （Middle） Road, the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre enjoys a premium downtown location. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 责任概要
Responsible for the smooth and efficient manning of the housekeeping office by providing efficient and accurate information to hotel guest. To provide clerical administrative support to all housekeeping supervisors and other departments requiring housekeeping services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: 工作任务
Answer departmental and guest telephone calls. Pass on telephone messages as soon as received to department / section and persons concerned for immediate action.
Prepare / print room status report when required.
Prepare lists of out of order rooms, in house VIP and expected arrivals / departure, function and group lists.
Responsible for the communication between reception, and floor regarding guest room status.
Notify floor supervisor of arriving VIP’s, and group allocations.
Notify floor supervisor of any changes in room status and allocations.
Inform floor supervisor of late departure and urgently needed rooms.
Handle Lost & Found properties. Ensure all surrendered Lost & Found items are properly labelled, recorded and stored as soon as received. Prepare weekly summary of Lost & Found items and submit report to Director of Services.
Prepare repair and maintenance work orders as soon as received.
Make sure all work orders from the floor and public areas are properly make out and issued to the engineering departments.
To call the engineering department and issue verbal work orders for urgent and to ensure that proper work orders are done immediately after.
Follow up unfinished work orders and report to the Director of services if no action is done.
Update room status in the computer regularly. Ensure the input is correct.
Control the paging system for all housekeeping staff. Paging is to be done immediately and accurately.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the housekeeping office. Keep all files, record books and logbooks in order. Keep the office neat, tidy and not noisy.
Arrange baby-sitter upon request. List of available baby-sitters must be available at all times.
Coordinate / communicate with public area supervisors regarding matters requiring housekeeping services in all public areas.
Prepare daily work allocations for room attendants in conjunction with the assistant housekeepers’ instructions.
Issue, receive and check master keys for rooms and public areas, responsible for the issuance, recording and getting back of articles on loan to guests.
Check and record staff attendance and punctuality.
Handle guest complaints and inquiries
Mark down the nature of complaint and determine what action id to be taken.
Contact concerned floor supervisor or if necessary the assistant housekeeper or the Director of Services for corrective action immediately.
Liaise with reception regarding room status.
Follow strictly all hotel, laundry and housekeeping departmental policies and procedure to be able to perform duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
Carry out other duties as and when assigned by the Assistant housekeeper.
Maintain personal grooming as per hotel’s standard to project an efficient, professional, neat and tidy appearance to hotel guests and set an example to subordinates
Emphasize good personal behaviour as per guidelines laid down in the Employee Handbook and promote the spirit of team work whenever and wherever possible.
Be aware of hotel emergence, safety and pest control procedures.
