The Director of Events Management partners with the Director of Sales and Marketing in leading and directing the Events Management Team to achieve the events revenue goals, guest satisfaction and the financial performance of the department. S/he implements the brand service strategy and applicable sales initiatives of the marketing plan. S/he is responsible for driving colleagues’ development of the team and contributes innovative changes and ideas with the operations. S/he also ensure the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting (e.g., catering and group rooms) for all events.
The Director of Events Management must be proactive, organized, and self-driven. S/he must have strong leadership skills, excellent analytical capabilities, and outstanding proven event management performance. S/he must be a role model and leads the team with commitment. S/he must also be attentive to guests and colleagues needs.
S/he is required to have a minimum of 2 years work experience in the same capacity (preferably in a luxury hotel). She must be a diploma/degree holder in hospitality management with excellent command in English (Arabic language would be an added value). Qatar market experience, MICE and destination wedding experience are an added advantage.
