We are now looking for Manager, Corporate Communications to join our Group Headquarter office, who will be responsible for upholding the reputation of Shangri-La Group and its brands through comprehensive corporate communications, including crisis communications management, strategic media relations, copywriting, corporate announcements, and budget management.
As our Manager, Corporate Communications, we will rely on you to:
- Implement a full range of communications strategies, including corporate, executive and crisis, mandates with a view to enhance Shangri-La’s reputation and brand
- Engage and align key messages with different internal and external stakeholders
- Create and/ or edit corporate communications materials in English and Traditional / Simplified Chinese
- Develop and foster strong relationships with the local media community (current affairs, travel, lifestyle, and KOLs) and key regional media to explore interview, public speaking and event collaboration opportunities for Shangri-La Group’s senior executives, and to deliver regular briefings on Shangri-La Group and its brands
- Manage Shangri-La Group’s social media content
- Analyse data and prepare performance reports on communications campaigns
- Prepare and implement group-level communications initiatives and press events
- Provide issue management support to the regional and hotel teams during crisis situations. Mitigate reputational risk by managing social and mainstream media with an anticipatory approach
We are looking for someone who has/ is:
- A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in corporate communications and public relations in a sizable organisation, preferably in the hospitality industry; prior agency or media experience with regional exposure would be advantageous
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in a relevant discipline
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; a great storyteller with strong content creation capability
- Established media network with proven track record of delivering successful end-to-end communication campaigns and handling crisis communications
- Detailed-minded, strong presentation, project management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Effective team player with good interpersonal skills who can collaborate well with a diverse range of stakeholders
